TORONTO, ON – Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corporation (OLG) continues to solidify its position as a leader in the gaming industry by introducing the first fully digital online prize claim process in Canada. This new process makes retail lottery prize claims between $1,000 and $10,000 entirely paperless.
Claimants with prizes over $1,000 can now access an integrated, digitized version of the Lottery Prize Claim Declaration form at OLG.ca. This new prize claim option simplifies and speeds up the process, improving service and convenience for winners while upholding integrity standards.

OLG’s is careful to ensure that the right prize is paid to the right person(s) every time. With one of the most rigorous programs in Canada, OLG maintains strict controls to identify and investigate prize claims by eligible players prior to payment. This new digital option uses the same form and verification process as our current mail-in option ensuring that OLG upholds the integrity of the prize claim process. Prize values of $10,000 or more will begin with the new digital form, and then follow OLG’s existing protocols for larger prizes.
In November 2022, OLG accomplished another first in Canada by introducing direct pay for lottery purchases, bringing more choice to customers. These new digital enhancements reaffirm OLG’s commitment to respond to changing customer expectations in a safe, responsible way.
