OLG LAUNCHES NEW SPORTS BETTING APP

TORONTO, ON – The Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corporation has launched a new sports betting app that combines the current bet building functionality for in-store purchases with direct online wagering into one integrated app to create an exclusive new betting experience for Ontario sports fans.

The new app is designed for both retail and online players and is the first of its kind to be introduced to the Ontario gaming market. Players can place and pay for live bets in real-time on the new PROLINE+ or choose to build bets and generate a barcode on the app, which can be used to purchase PROLINE tickets at nearly 10,000 retail locations across the province.

“OLG continues to expand our unique and integrated product offerings for our valued customers,” says Dave Pridmore, OLG’s Chief Digital & Strategy Officer. “The new app gives players the unprecedented ability to make a sports bet directly on the app or at retail using the bet builder functionality. This latest product enhancement reinforces our commitment to convenience and choice for our players while also offering a competitive sports book with the confidence, trust, and goodwill of the OLG brand.”

The new app brings the intuitive functionality of the PROLINE+ website into a new environment and is free to download, secure, and easy to access on iOS and Android devices. The new app offers players the ability to wager on the full suite of sports betting markets and in-game betting available on PROLINE+.

Like all OLG products, the new app is designed to promote responsible play. Tools are built into the app to help establish and maintain healthy play habits, along with access to PlaySmart.ca, our globally recognized responsible gambling program. Customers can use these tools to set spend and loss limits for example, customizing the play experience to serve their personal preferences.

Ontario residents who are 18 or older can build bets to buy tickets in store using PROLINE, while customers must be 19 or older and have a registered OLG.ca account to place and pay for bets on PROLINE+ through the app.

The launch of the new app follows recent high-profile sports partnership announcements with the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL and launches ahead of the start of the NFL season and other major events like the US Open, MLB World Series and the World Cup.

Like all OLG products, one hundred per cent of the proceeds generated through PROLINE and PROLINE+ are reinvested in the province to help improve the quality of life for all Ontarians. When you play with PROLINE and PROLINE+, you play for Ontario.

OLG SUPPORTS WINDSOR CASINO WITH OPERATING AGREEMENT EXTENSION

TORONTO, ON – Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) is pleased to have entered into an agreement to extend its existing contract with the current operator of the Windsor casino, Caesars Entertainment Windsor Limited.

OLG supports casino operators, which are key contributors to Ontario’s economic recovery, delivering entertainment for casino customers while creating jobs and investments in communities.

The agreement extends the contract, under the same terms and conditions, by one year to August 2025. OLG has the option to further extend the term for a minimum of six months and up to a maximum of 12 months, ending no later than August 2026.

Necessary closures and capacity restrictions over the past two years have impacted the casino business in Ontario, placing a premium on operational continuity and stability.

Through competitive procurement processes, OLG has selected service providers to operate gaming bundles across Ontario. The timing of a procurement for the Windsor Gaming Bundle will be addressed at a future date.
