Toronto, ON – Daniel Kukko and Werner Maute of Thunder Bay can “find their possible” after winning a LOTTO 6/49 prize worth $1 million in the Gold Ball Draw on September 4, 2024.

Daniel and Werner have been friends for 30 years and were once coworkers. They have been playing the lottery together as a way to stay connected. As for what comes next, Werner plans to share his winnings with his child, do some work around the house, and enjoy a vacation. Daniel intends to retire, share with his children, pay some bills, and travel as well.

Toronto, ON – Evelyn McGouran of Gloucester can realize her dreams after winning a $1 million MAXMILLIONS prize in the September 13, 2024 LOTTO MAX draw.

“I was at the casino with my husband. Evelyn plans to share her windfall with those in need and those she loves. “I will donate to my local humane society and community food bank. I will also share with close family members,” she concluded.

Toronto, ON – Chophel Norbu of Mississauga can “find his possible” after winning a LOTTO 6/49 prize worth $1 million in the Gold Ball Draw on September 18, 2024.

Chophel, who works in the technology industry, has been playing the lottery with OLG for the past 10 years. He started playing weekly about five years ago, when he learned that 100% of OLG’s profits are reinvested into the province. Now, he is thrilled to share the news of his first big win!

“I was on my way to work when I decided to stop for gas. Toronto, ON – Christopher Baker of Scarborough can “find his possible” after winning $2.5 million in the LOTTO 6/49 Classic Jackpot on June 15, 2024. His ticket was one of two that shared the $5 million jackpot.

Christopher, a designer, has been an occasional lottery player with OLG for a few years. He typically picks up LOTTO 6/49 and LOTTO MAX tickets, using OLG’s Quick Pick feature to make his selections. Forgetting to check his tickets, Christopher didn’t discover his big win until weeks after the draw.

“I was at home when I remembered I had a little stack of tickets I had yet to check. As I scanned my tickets on the OLG app, I reached the last one, a LOTTO 6/49 ticket from June,” Christopher recounted, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his windfall. “I scanned my ticket, saw the ‘Big Winner’ screen, and wondered, ‘How much did I win?’ Then I saw the prize amount and couldn’t process all the zeros!”

In shock and disbelief, Christopher started to investigate how this happened. “I took a screenshot and counted the zeros. I checked the winning numbers on OLG.ca and compared them to my ticket. My heart was pounding, but the more I checked the details, the more elated I felt,” he said with a grin.

“I never thought I would win big. I’m very grateful. It’s truly something special and kind of crazy,” Christopher laughed.

“I haven’t been able to think about what to do with my winnings because it hasn’t felt real until now. I want to invest for my future and for my kids. I’d love to celebrate with a trip. I just need to figure out where to go and what to do,” he concluded with a smile.
