TIPS TO LEVEL UP YOUR APPLICATION

Every job posting will list different requirements and skills. Make sure to review the details thoroughly and tailor your resume to showcase your skills related to the role.

Pro tip:

  • If you have additional skills you want to highlight, consider including a cover letter.

Your interviewers will want to know why you are applying for a role at OLG. Make sure to do research ahead of time on the role itself and life at OLG, including the Five Truths OLGers live by. This will help you explain why you are interested in becoming a student OLGer.

Pro tip:

  • Prepare a few questions to ask at the end of the interview ahead of time.

During interviews, we want to learn about your experiences and will often ask you to provide examples from your past.

A good way to answer these questions is by using the STAR method, which stands for Situation, Tasks you completed, Actions you took, and the Result. Using the STAR method will help you cover the important points in your example.

Pro tip:

  • Keep your answers brief and concise so you don’t spend too long on each question.

One of the Five Truths that OLGers live by is “we celebrate our differences.” We value different backgrounds, perspectives, and orientations and believe they make OLG a great place to work.

Pro tip:

  • Be yourself! We’re looking forward to getting to know you so take a deep breath and relax.

Ready, set, apply! The student recruitment process moves quickly so make sure to check your school’s student portal for deadlines and be prepared to apply with an up-to-date resume.

Pro tip:

  • Apply early so there’s no risk of missing the deadline.
