The OLG Recruitment Process

Learn more about our hiring process and what to expect.

  1. Once we have received your application, we will evaluate your experience and credentials related to the role you have applied for. This may include a short phone screening process.
  2. Short-listed applicants will be contacted for in-person or virtual interviews. (Note: There may be multiple interviews at this stage of the hiring process.)
  3. Following your in-person or virtual interviews, you will be contacted with the hiring decision.

An evaluation of your professional experiences and other abilities or education listed on your resume are part of the phone screening process. Individuals that best fit the role’s requirements will be given consideration for the next stages.

Due to the large number of applicants, we receive for each position, we are unable to contact each applicant personally. All applicants who have been interviewed in-person or virtually will be contacted with the hiring decision.

The application you submit on our site will be considered only for the specific job you are applying for.

If you are interested in more than one position at OLG, you will need to submit a separate application for each job.

Preparing For Your Interview

Follow these tips to help you prepare for your interview and help us to get to know each other.

When you receive your interview confirmation invitation it will contain a link to either VidCruiter or MS Teams platform for your virtual interview. Both are easily accessed, and no account set up is required.

Our interviews are conducted either virtually or in-person with a diverse panel of interviewers.

We will ask you a series of questions to help us get to know you. These questions could be skills-based, situational, or behavioural and will be tailored to the role you have applied for.

We understand that interviews can be a little stressful, so here is some advice to help you have the best experience:

  • Be on time (or early!). This will allow you to gather your thoughts and ensure your technology is working for the meeting.
  • Be yourself. We want to get to know you!
  • Take your time responding. If you need time to think about your answer, please do so without feeling rushed.
  • Ask questions. If you need clarification or more details, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Following the conclusion of all interviews, the Hiring Team will take time to make a hire decision. Those interviewed will be contacted with the outcome and feedback will be provided if requested. We value your time and will do our best to notify all parties as soon as possible.

OLG offers a hybrid work model (combining at-home and in-office work) where possible. Certain roles must be performed on site or in the field. Ask us about remote work during your interview.

Whether your role is in the field, hybrid, or in person depends on your position.

Hybrid work at OLG balances onsite work with remote work flexibility for OLGers. Being onsite together makes it easier to learn, model, practice and strengthen our team culture and our ability to transform gaming entertainment in Ontario.
