TORONTO, ON – Mamo D. of Windsor won “Ontario’s jackpot” – $442,843.50 in the August 1, 2026 LOTTARIO draw.

“I’ve been playing the lottery with OLG since I came to Canada in 1976,” Mamo shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his winnings.

He discovered his big win while checking his ticket at the gas station. “I thought I’d won $42 until I had my nephew take a closer look. That’s when I realized it was much more than $42!”

Mamo plans to share his winnings with family.

LOTTARIO launched in 1978 as Ontario’s first terminal lotto game. Tickets are $1 and the draws take place every Saturday. Tickets purchased before 11:59 p.m. on Fridays are eligible for the Early Bird draw. Visit the LOTTARIO page on OLG.ca for more information.

The winning ticket was purchased at Esso on Wyandotte Street East in Windsor.
