Toronto, ON – Donald M. of South Woodslee is celebrating after winning a $250,000 top prize with a CROSSWORD DELUXE SCRATCH ticket (Game #3358).

“I only started playing the lottery about two months ago,” Donald shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his winnings. “I was at home enjoying a coffee and playing my ticket when I realized I’d won something. I asked my partner to check it for me, and she said, ‘You won $250!’ Then I checked my ticket using the OLG app and discovered it was actually $250,000!”

Donald, a self-proclaimed practical joker, said one of his mottos is to have fun and not take life too seriously. When something this unbelievable happened to him, convincing people it was real proved to be a challenge.

“I told a bunch of friends, and no one believes it,” he said with a chuckle. “They don’t believe a word I say! In fact, I don’t even believe it!”

With his windfall, Donald plans to save for retirement, make some home improvements, and continue leading a life of fun and laughter.

CROSSWORD DELUXE is available for $10 a play and the top prize is $250,000. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.46. Visit OLG.ca for more information on this and other great games.
