TORONTO, ON – The day Ontario hockey fans – and sports bettors – have been patiently waiting for has finally arrived! A new hockey season starts tonight with two games on the schedule and both are available for wagering on Ontario’s only legal online sportsbook, PROLINE+.

A recent survey of Ontario sports bettors indicated the NHL is the most popular league to bet on with 61 per cent of respondents saying it was their number one for wagers. The survey indicated  Edmonton’s Connor McDavid as most likely to take the trophy for league MVP with 38 per cent of the votes, followed by Toronto’s Auston Matthews in second at 28 per cent. PROLINE+ players are leaning overwhelmingly in favour of McDavid – he currently owns 94 per cent of the early bets. Matthews is a distant second with just 3 per cent of bets to date.
