KANATA RESIDENT WINS $2 MILLION WITH ONTARIO 49
TORONTO, ON – Jihee J. of Kanata is celebrating after winning a $2 million top prize in the ONTARIO 49 draw on June 13, 2026.
Jihee, who moved to Canada in 2014, said she’s been playing the lottery with OLG since 2018.
She discovered her big win after receiving an email from OLG.
“I knew I won something, but I didn’t realize how much,” she recalled while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect her winnings. “At first, I thought it was maybe a few dollars or a Free Play, but when I logged into my OLG.ca account, I saw I won $2 million! I didn’t believe it at first and thought I was reading it wrong.”
Jihee shared the incredible news with her husband right away. “He was getting ready for work when I showed him my phone screen and asked him to double-check the number. His jaw dropped! He was shocked but so happy for me.”
With her windfall, Jihee plans to pay some bills, take a well-deserved trip, and purchase a new home.
“This is an exciting and unbelievable feeling,” she concluded.
