Hanover receives a million-dollar cash windfall annually from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation for hosting OLG Slots at Hanover Raceway, which probably makes it the envy of all municipalities in Grey-Bruce. The town issued a news release Monday touting the benefits of the arrangement, which it says primarily allows Hanover to limit tax rate increases which would otherwise be required to maintain the community's infrastructure and other needs.
