Toronto, ON – Ivan C. of Etobicoke is celebrating after winning a $250,000 top prize with INSTANT CROSSWORD DELUXE (Game #3357).

The 60-year-old said he’s been playing the lottery with OLG for about 20 years. He enjoys playing LOTTO MAX, LOTTO 6/49, and a variety of INSTANT tickets, including CROSSWORD and BINGO. Now, he’s delighted to share the news of his first major win.

After Ivan played his ticket, he initially thought he won $25,000. “I scanned it using the OLG app and realized I actually won $250,000!” he recalled while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his winnings. “My heart started beating faster. In that moment, I began crying happy tears.”

He then shared the incredible news with his wife and daughter. “They were so happy,” he smiled. “It’s an amazing feeling to win big.”

With his windfall, Ivan plans to save for retirement and invest for the future. “I feel so fortunate. Maybe we’ll move closer to our grandkids. We still have lots of planning to do,” he concluded.
