TORONTO, ON – Saying “yes” to ENCORE paid off for Rodolfo C. and Gary C. of Woodbridge. They matched all seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the March 24, 2026 LOTTO MAX draw to win $1 million!

Rodolfo and Gary, a father-son duo, were shocked after discovering their big win. Rodolfo was the first to realize they had a winning ticket.

“I was going about a normal day when I decided to check our ticket on the OLG app. At first, I was confused and thought I was reading it wrong. I yelled for my son to come over and told him it was an emergency,” Rodolfo shared while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect their windfall.

“I ran over to my dad and he had the ticket in his hand. He was waving it around, saying, ‘Check this!’” Gary recalled. “We both looked at the screen and our hearts froze. It felt like a dream!”

The pair shared the incredible news with their family members, and everyone was overjoyed. “My mom and sister started creating a shopping list,” Gary said with a laugh. “We haven’t told anyone else yet — we want to enjoy this moment as a family.”

When asked how it feels to win big, Rodolfo said, “I know how rare this is and that’s what makes it even more unbelievable. I’m still trying to take it all in and keep thinking about how this will change our lives and future.”

“I keep wondering, ‘Did I really win the lottery or am I dreaming?’” Gary added with a smile. “It all feels surreal!”

Rodolfo and Gary already have some plans for their winnings, including travel, sharing with family, and setting some aside for retirement.

The winning ticket was purchased at Atkinson’s Convenience on Atkinson Avenue in Thornhill.
