*Duncan Hannay

President and Chief Executive Officer

Duncan Hannay is a purpose-driven leader with proven ability to champion new ideas, build winning teams and drive innovation to deliver strong results to his stakeholders. As President and CEO, Duncan and his team are committed to building a strategy for the future and leading the organization through its next phase of growth, while continuing to support communities across Ontario.

Duncan has more than 25 years of experience growing businesses across industries, channels and geographies around the world. Before joining OLG, he was President and CEO of Street Capital Group Inc, a Canadian public company offering best-in-class retail banking products through its Schedule I bank platform. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Finastra, a global leader in software solutions for retail banking, transaction banking, lending, and treasury and capital markets. He also served as an executive leader at the Canadian-based financial technology provider D+H, as President of Global Lending Solutions and as President of D+H Canada. In addition, Duncan has held senior executive positions with global financial service providers Scotiabank and E*TRADE Financial.

In 2010, Duncan was inducted into the McMaster University Alumni Gallery, and in 2013, was recognized as “Marketer of the Year” by Strategy Magazine.

Duncan is an active supporter of charitable causes and community development. As a long-serving former board member and Chair of Covenant House Toronto, he has worked to enhance public awareness of the challenges facing homeless youth, while strengthening community supports.

Along with his team, Duncan is committed to continuing to make diversity, equity, and inclusion a key part of the culture at OLG and everything it does. Their commitment to Truth and Reconciliation is also evidenced through a deliberate plan to build internal capacity and honour Indigenous knowledge, cultures, and practices.

Duncan holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from McMaster University.

*Pinder Basi

Chief Financial and Risk Officer

Pinder is responsible for providing strategic oversight to the financial performance of the organization, including all financial planning, financial reporting and budget forecasting. This includes providing an independent perspective and constructive challenge to the lines of business, ensuring business decisions are grounded in solid financial criteria.

In addition to fulfilling traditional finance accountabilities, Pinder is also accountable for providing enterprise services to OLG in the areas of Risk Management; Procurement; Strategy; Analytics; and Real Estate and Facilities.

Prior to joining OLG, Pinder served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Mastermind Toys. In this role, Pinder was a key member of the executive team that grew Mastermind Toys from a Toronto-based retailer into a national chain and e-commerce operation. Prior to Mastermind Toys, Pinder served as a Senior Vice President of Finance and Operations with Universal Studios Canada, a division of NBC Universal.

Pinder is a designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Western Ontario.

*Hestie Benn

Vice President, Internal Audit

Hestie Benn leads the Internal Audit function at OLG. She is responsible for enhancing and protecting organizational value by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight to help OLG accomplish its objectives. This includes taking a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and control processes.

Hestie reports directly to the Chair of the Audit and Risk Management Committee of OLG’s Board of Directors, with a dotted-line administrative connection to the President and CEO.   

Hestie joined OLG in 2019 as Director of IT Audit, with over 20 years of Internal Audit experience. Prior to joining OLG, she had a long-standing career at two of the world’s top five gold mining companies. She held various Internal Audit management positions including the head of the audit as part of the Risk and Audit division.

In addition to holding a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and Diploma in Datametrics, Hestie is a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor and is Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control.

*Michelle Eaton

Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs

Michelle Eaton leads OLG’s Corporate Affairs team, which works to position OLG as a leader in responsible gaming entertainment through strategic stakeholder management, government relations, community engagement, sustainability and social responsibility, as well as communications.

Prior to joining OLG in March 2024, Michelle was Vice President, Public Affairs at the Ontario Chamber of Commerce where she led an exceptional expansion of the organization’s impact and reach throughout the province. She was also involved in developing and implementing strategic and risk management plans that led to material growth in organizational revenues over her tenure.

Over her career, Michelle has worked in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors, helping to shape communications and public affairs strategies within key roles at organizations such as Rothmans, Benson and Hedges Inc., Manulife, and the federal government.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Political Science and French from Western University and an Executive MBA from Ivey Business School.

Thushyan Kayilas

Director, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

Reporting to OLG’s Senior Vice President, People & Culture, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the President and CEO, Thushyan Kayilas is responsible for driving OLG’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI); Employee Relations; and Organizational Wellbeing functions to ensure OLG delivers a best-in-class employee experience.

Thushyan is a seasoned EDI professional with more than 15 years of experience advising large national institutions, Fortune 500 companies, CEOs, boards, multilateral institutions, and Silicon Valley technology companies.

Prior to joining OLG in 2023, Thushyan was Senior Director, People & Culture and Global Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at TELUS Health. In this role, he was responsible for driving the organization’s global EDI strategy, external partnerships, and ensuring inclusive product development to advance employee wellbeing.

Thushyan holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law; an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University; and a Master of Science from Columbia University. Additionally, he holds certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors on HR & Compensation Committee Effectiveness. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for Lakeridge Health and the York Region Children’s Aid Society.

*Nancy Kennedy

Chief Lottery and Customer Officer

Nancy Kennedy is responsible for driving value and growth within OLG’s Lottery business and has oversight of the company’s enterprise Customer Experience function. This includes developing new products and customer experiences as well as ensuring excellence in all of OLG’s frontline customer facing operations. She and her team work closely with OLG’s other lines of business and external partners to ensure that the company keeps pace with an evolving marketplace and customer demands.

In addition, Nancy leads OLG’s Enterprise Strategy function which supports all areas of the organization. This team is accountable for the development of the organization’s strategic plan to ensure OLG achieves its mandate of socially responsible revenue growth and economic development. 

In January 2023, Nancy also assumed a two-year role as President of the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation (ILC) that administers LOTTO 6/49, LOTTO MAX, and Daily Grand with partners across Canada.

Prior to joining OLG, Nancy had a long-standing career in the Ontario Public Service where she served in a range of portfolios up to the level of Deputy Minister. She was also the inaugural President and Chief Operating Officer at the Ontario Cannabis Store.

*Janine Leahey

Chief Technology & Information Officer

Janine is responsible for ensuring that OLG’s technology enables the achievement of critical growth and expansion priorities; enhances the multi-channel, multi-product customer experience; and contributes to OLG’s operational success by fostering strong partnerships and driving innovative technology solutions.

She provides leadership in all areas of the IT portfolio, including strategy and innovation; planning; business enablement; enterprise architecture and design; infrastructure; development; data centers; end-user support; quality assurance and testing; cyber and information security; information governance; and vendor management.

Janine is also responsible for the enterprise project management office, which oversees project management governance and standards and the delivery of complex enterprise-wide initiatives and priorities.

Prior to joining OLG, Janine served as the Chief Information Officer at Allstate Canada Group (ACG), where she successfully transformed the company’s longstanding legacy IT system to a modernized platform. She also instantiated core concepts of business agility through the use of Scale Agile Framework for Enterprise practices. As an advocate for women in technology, Janine also led the women in tech mentorship and ally program for the ACG global team. 

Kyra Li

Chief of Staff, President & CEO’s Office

Kyra Li plays a key role in driving communications and priorities to enable the President and CEO (P&CEO) to successfully achieve OLG’s strategic plan. She works with the Executive Leadership Team to ensure alignment of interdivisional activities and support implementation of key initiatives.

Kyra also oversees the day-to-day operations of the P&CEO’s office and establishes effective relationships with key stakeholders internal and external to the organization, fostering collaboration and achievement of OLG’s strategic priorities and initiatives.

Prior to her role the P&CEO’s office, she was the Director of Governance, Risk and Control Advisory. In this role, Kyra led a variety of internal audit and advisory engagements that supported the enhancement and increased efficiency of OLG’s control environment and operations.

Kyra joined OLG in 2019, making the transition from professional services to industry. While at MNP LLP, Kyra was part of the Enterprise Risk Services practice providing internal audit and consulting services to a range of public and private sector organizations. Prior to MNP, she was part of the IT Risk Assurance team at EY, providing external financial statement audit and System & Organization Control report services to clients in the financial services industry.

Kyra holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo and is a certified PMP and CIA.

*David Pridmore

Chief Gaming Officer

David Pridmore leads OLG’s digital business, land-based gaming operations and business development activities. Dave is responsible for developing and delivering OLG’s digital strategy with a focus on growth, new value creation and speed to market. He has end-to-end accountability for the digital business and the development of best-in-class digital capabilities and offerings to meet the changing demands of customers and rapidly evolving marketplace dynamics and optimizing returns on investment in a responsible way.

Dave oversees land-based gaming operations. He has end-to-end accountability for land-based gaming business results through effective relationship management and maximizing performance with OLG’s land-based Casino Gaming and Charitable Gaming partners and considering new opportunities for responsible growth. Dave is responsible for delivering on OLG’s mandate in support of a sustainable horse racing industry in Ontario and managing OLG’s relationship with the Horse Racing industry, the government of Ontario and industry stakeholders.

Dave and his team are accountable for leading OLG’s business development activities by identifying industry trends, developing, and maintaining relationships with existing and new external partners to identify investment opportunities across OLG’s lines of business.

With more than 15 years of experience, David is an accomplished finance and strategy executive with significant expertise in strategy development, financial assessment and commercial transactions. He previously held multiple roles at Shoppers Drug Mart and OLG where he was responsible for infrastructure development, financial relationship management and the development of the Land-based Gaming modernization strategy.

David holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Business Administration from McMaster University.

Roiana:kens

Indigenous Relations Director

Reporting to OLG’s Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the President and CEO, Roiana:kens is leading OLG’s efforts to build positive and collaborative working relationships with valued partners across the gaming market, including with Indigenous communities, associations and leaders. This includes the development and implementation of OLG’s Reconcili-Action Strategy, a roadmap to advance the principles of Truth and Reconciliation and guide us in building a mutually beneficial relationship with our First Nations partners.

Roiana:kens, an Onkwehonwe from Six Nations of the Grand River Territory, has extensive experience working in both the public and private sector and as a leader in Indigenous organizations.

Before joining OLG in 2022, Roiana:kens spent 12 years in the Ontario Public Service (OPS) where he held a series of roles. Most recently he worked in the Ontario Ministry of Finance where he led the development of a “First Nation Wholesale Adjustment Rate” for the Ontario Cannabis Store to enable the authorization of cannabis retail stores on First Nations territories. He has also worked in key roles at the Ministry of Indigenous Relations and the Ministry of Energy where he led the Ministry’s Grievance Table talks with First Nations and the First Nations-Ontario Energy Table with the Chiefs of Ontario, as well as served as a strategic advisor in the Province’s successful negotiations with First Nations related to expanded ownership of Hydro One.

Prior to joining the OPS, Roiana:kens established an urban Aboriginal economic development corporation, served as the President of the Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres, and as the Executive Director of the Barrie Native Friendship Centre.

*Tony Wong

Senior Vice President, Governance, Legal and Compliance, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Tony Wong is responsible for providing legal and compliance support that enables OLG business and functional areas to achieve their strategies within established legal frameworks. Tony provides strategic advice to OLG’s Board of Directors and executive leadership team on all critical legal matters which have the potential of resulting in reputational, legal or financial risk to OLG. As OLG’s Corporate Secretary, Tony oversees Board Governance, including board policies and procedures, and other requirements related to board fiduciary duties.

Tony has extensive expertise and experience in the areas of litigation, contract, tort, privacy and administrative law, and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining OLG, Tony was a partner at the Toronto law firm of Blake, Cassels and Graydon LLP and regularly appeared as counsel at all levels of court in Ontario.

Tony earned a Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.

*Esther Zdolec

Senior Vice President, People and Culture

Esther Zdolec is responsible for the development and implementation of enterprise workforce strategies that build a diverse, performance-driven culture, enable ways of working to drive the enterprise strategy, and positions OLG as an employer of choice to attract and retain top-talent. This includes integrating sound management practices and equity, diversity, and inclusion principles into policies and programs that continually evolves OLG’s human capital and creates an environment where all employees can excel.
 
Before joining OLG, Esther served as Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness and Human Resources at Fleming College. In this role, Esther was responsible for the full range of human resources and labour relations services across the college.

Prior to Fleming College, Esther held executive roles in both the public and private sector, including Executive Vice President, Human Resources at Infrastructure Ontario; Vice President, Human Resources at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories; and Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Candu Energy and SNC-Lavalin.

Esther holds a Bachelor of Arts in Labour Management Relations from the University of Toronto, as well as a Masters in Human Resources Management from York University.

Roiana:kens

Indigenous Relations Director

Reporting to OLG’s Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the President and CEO, Roiana:kens is leading OLG’s efforts to build positive and collaborative working relationships with valued partners across the gaming market, including with Indigenous communities, associations and leaders. This includes the development and implementation of OLG’s Reconcili-Action Strategy, a roadmap to advance the principles of Truth and Reconciliation and guide us in building a mutually beneficial relationship with our First Nations partners.

Roiana:kens, an Onkwehonwe from Six Nations of the Grand River Territory, has extensive experience working in both the public and private sector and as a leader in Indigenous organizations.

Before joining OLG in 2022, Roiana:kens spent 12 years in the Ontario Public Service (OPS) where he held a series of roles. Most recently he worked in the Ontario Ministry of Finance where he led the development of a “First Nation Wholesale Adjustment Rate” for the Ontario Cannabis Store to enable the authorization of cannabis retail stores on First Nations territories. He has also worked in key roles at the Ministry of Indigenous Relations and the Ministry of Energy where he led the Ministry’s Grievance Table talks with First Nations and the First Nations-Ontario Energy Table with the Chiefs of Ontario, as well as served as a strategic advisor in the Province’s successful negotiations with First Nations related to expanded ownership of Hydro One.

Prior to joining the OPS, Roiana:kens established an urban Aboriginal economic development corporation, served as the President of the Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres, and as the Executive Director of the Barrie Native Friendship Centre.

Tony Wong is responsible for providing legal and compliance support that enables OLG business and functional areas to achieve their strategies within established legal frameworks. Tony provides strategic advice to OLG’s Board of Directors and executive leadership team on all critical legal matters which have the potential of resulting in reputational, legal or financial risk to OLG. As OLG’s Corporate Secretary, Tony oversees Board Governance, including board policies and procedures, and other requirements related to board fiduciary duties.

Tony has extensive expertise and experience in the areas of litigation, contract, tort, privacy and administrative law, and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining OLG, Tony was a partner at the Toronto law firm of Blake, Cassels and Graydon LLP and regularly appeared as counsel at all levels of court in Ontario.

Tony earned a Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.

Senior Vice President, People and Culture

Esther Zdolec is responsible for the development and implementation of enterprise workforce strategies that build a diverse, performance-driven culture, enable ways of working to drive the enterprise strategy, and positions OLG as an employer of choice to attract and retain top-talent. This includes integrating sound management practices and equity, diversity, and inclusion principles into policies and programs that continually evolves OLG’s human capital and creates an environment where all employees can excel.
 
Before joining OLG, Esther served as Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness and Human Resources at Fleming College. In this role, Esther was responsible for the full range of human resources and labour relations services across the college.

Prior to Fleming College, Esther held executive roles in both the public and private sector, including Executive Vice President, Human Resources at Infrastructure Ontario; Vice President, Human Resources at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories; and Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Candu Energy and SNC-Lavalin.

Esther holds a Bachelor of Arts in Labour Management Relations from the University of Toronto, as well as a Masters in Human Resources Management from York University.
