Toronto, ON – David R. of Sudbury can “find his possible” after winning a LOTTO 6/49 prize worth $1 million in the Gold Ball Draw on March 21, 2026.

David, a mining supervisor, said he’s been playing the lottery with OLG for over 20 years. One day, he redeemed a LOTTO 6/49 Free Play, unaware that it would soon lead to his first major windfall.

When the 44-year-old shared the news of his win with his family over dinner, they were in shock and disbelief. “They didn’t believe me for one second,” he recalled with a laugh. “Once they discovered it was real, they were so happy. It feels surreal.”

David plans to put his winnings toward hospital expenses and relocation from Sudbury to Toronto. “We also hope to donate to SickKids and support some family members. It’s been a difficult time for us lately, and this win came at the right time,” he concluded.
