OLG is committed to protecting the integrity and fairness of our products and games.

Every day, OLG relies on a small but mighty team at our Prize Centre in Toronto to conduct — and ensure the integrity of — mid-day and evening provincial lottery draws for games like ONTARIO 49, DAILY KENO and LOTTARIO.

The Draws Team is responsible for loading the machines; conducting the official draws; recording the draws; and confirming the results with internal and external witnesses. They also write, check and send out winning numbers news releases to notify the media, as well as post videos of the draws on OLG.ca.

“People have fun dreaming about how a lottery win might enhance their lives,” says Mitch Heron, Draws Coordinator, OLG. “The Draws Team and everyone at the OLG Prize Centre are proud to play such an important role in ensuring continued public confidence in OLG and the products we offer.”

Every draw at the OLG Prize Centre is overseen by members of the Draws Team and a MNP external draws witness. In addition, the team is trained on contingency plans and ready for any situation.
