Hands off town’s casino: mayor

Gananoque believes it's holding a strong hand but there's concern around the table that Kingston may not be bluffing. The province's recent privatization of casino operations has Kingston council set to discuss a motion to determine if the city is interested in hosting a gaming facility. Since only one such facility is permitted in a gaming zone, any successful bid by Kingston would ultimately mean the closure of the Thousand Islands Casino in Gananoque.
