FAQ: CASINO SPORTS WAGERING ENDS AT CASINO NIAGARA AND CAESARS WINDSOR

Q:        WHY HAVE YOU STOPPED OFFERING THE CASINO SPORTS GAMES AT CASINO NIAGARA AND/OR CAESARS WINDSOR?

A:        The Casino Sports games were created to make the border casino sites more competitive with U.S. casinos at a specific point in time. OLG recognizes that the best Casino Sports offering we’ve been able to put forward for many years still falls short of what most players would prefer to see as a casino sportsbook experience. We are removing the current games with the hope that a superior product may be able to be offered in the casinos in the near future.

Q:        WILL YOU REPLACE THEM WITH SOMETHING NEW AT THE GAMING SITES?

A:        We are removing the current games with the hope that a superior product may be able to be offered in the casinos in the near future.

In the meantime, Sports lottery players can continue to wager on the retail PRO•LINE lineup of games at over 10,000 lottery sales locations across Ontario.

Q:        WHAT DO I DO IF I HAVE A WINNING TICKET FOR A CASINO SPORTS GAME? HOW DO I CLAIM IT?

A:        Casino Sports players with outstanding prize claims can mail them to the OLG Prize Centre for processing.

OLG is making an exception to the conditions for claiming Casino Sports prizes and will accept claims for tickets issued on or after March 16, 2019 that are received by the OLG Prize Centre by September 15, 2021.

Please visit OLG.ca to ensure you follow all necessary steps for mail-in prize claims.

OLG Mail-in Prize Centre

P.O. Box 130

31 Adelaide Street East

Toronto, ON M5C 2J1

OLG will work with U.S. players and those from other countries to make prize claim arrangements when their claims have cleared.

Q:        HOW ARE YOU INFORMING CUSTOMERS THAT THESE GAMES ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE?

A:        We have posted an announcement on OLG.ca and the casinos have also posted information on their websites for customers.

Additionally, when the casinos reopen there will be on-site signage advising that Casino Sports is no longer offered and that winning tickets can be mailed to the OLG Prize Centre.
