TIME IS RUNNING OUT ON $40 MILLION FORTUNE
TORONTO, ON – A life-changing $40 million LOTTO MAX jackpot remains unclaimed, and the clock is quickly running out for the rightful ticket holder to come forward before the prize expires forever.
The winning ticket from the October 28, 2025 LOTTO MAX draw was purchased at an authorized lottery retailer somewhere in Grey County.
This ticket will expire tomorrow, Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
With only hours remaining, OLG is urging anyone who purchased a LOTTO MAX ticket in Grey County, or anyone who visited the area around the time of the draw, to check their tickets immediately.
Grey County encompasses communities such as Owen Sound, Meaford, The Blue Mountains, Flesherton, Markdale, Durham and Hanover.
Because Grey County is a popular destination for tourists, cottagers and day-trippers, there is possibility that the winning ticket may not belong to a local resident. Someone visiting the area could have purchased the ticket, tucked it away and never realized they were holding a $40 million jackpot winner.
The winning numbers for the October 28, 2025 LOTTO MAX draw are – 06, 14, 17, 19, 26, 43, 45, with Bonus Number 27.
OLG has very detailed information about this winning ticket. However, because the ticket was purchased at a lottery retailer, we don’t know the identity of the person or group that purchased it. As with all OLG prize claims, a review process is conducted to determine the rightful ownership of the ticket.
If you believe you purchased this winning LOTTO MAX ticket, please go to the OLG.ca Unclaimed Tickets page to fill in your information to start the claim or contact OLG at 1-800-387-0098.
OLG is encouraging players to check anywhere they may store lottery tickets, including:
- Jacket and coat pockets
- Wallets, purses and backpacks
- Computer and travel bags
- Vehicle glove compartments and sun visors
- Kitchen, bedroom and office drawers
- Cottage, trailer or seasonal property storage areas
A forgotten ticket tucked away in any of these places could be worth $40 million.
Players can easily check their tickets using the OLG App, a self-checker available at participating lottery retailers or a lottery terminal at any authorized retailer.
If this October 28, 2025 LOTTO MAX ticket expires unclaimed, the $40 million prize will be returned to the LOTTO MAX prize pool for future bonus games or promotions.
A prize of this size approaching its expiry date is exceptionally rare. OLG remains hopeful that the rightful ticket holder will come forward before it expires on October 28 and claim what could be a life-changing $40 million windfall.
Information about this ticket and other unclaimed tickets can be found on the OLG.ca Unclaimed Tickets page.
