FROM BLEACHERS TO BIG BUCKS: KING CITY RESIDENT SCORES $10 MILLION LOTTO MAX JACKPOT

TORONTO, ON – What was supposed to be an ordinary day in the bleachers watching a family member at a baseball tournament turned into an extraordinary one when Brandon G. of King City discovered he was a multi-millionaire. Brandon won the $10 million LOTTO MAX jackpot from the May 29, 2026 draw.

During his Winner Celebration at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto, Brandon shared the amusing story of how he learned about his newfound fortune. “Each week, I buy my LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49 tickets on OLG.ca. I only check my account when I see an email from OLG,” said Brandon. “I was at a baseball tournament when I noticed I had more OLG emails than usual. I figured some of them were spam. When I logged into my account, I initially thought I’d won $10,000. Then I noticed the extra zeros and realized it was $10 million!”

Brandon was hesitant to celebrate and share the news right away, as he was surrounded by people on the bleachers. He soon found a private moment with his partner and told her about the incredible win. “We were both in disbelief! It was exciting, but we knew it wouldn’t feel real until the $10 million hit my bank account,” he said with a chuckle.

Despite becoming a multi-millionaire, Brandon plans to keep working. “I’m still young and have several more years before retirement, but this win gives me and my family a sense of security and peace of mind for the future.”

While he intends to put the money in the bank and develop long-term investment plans, Brandon and his family are starting to dream about a few bucket-list items. “I have big sports fans in my family, so we’d love to visit some baseball stadiums in the U.S. We’d also like to head west to Edmonton to see the Oilers and Connor McDavid play.”

Brandon said he’s heard some chatter about a family trip to Italy or Greece as well. “This win will allow me to slow down a bit and spend more quality time with my family.”

This winning experience has been especially meaningful for Brandon, as he fondly recalls a long tradition of checking lottery tickets with his late father. “While it may seem like a small thing, it was always fun spending time together checking our tickets. My dad would have really enjoyed this win.”

Brandon’s $10 million winning LOTTO MAX ticket was purchased on OLG.ca.
