Whitby council is letting the chips fall where they may following a decision to pass on Ajax's offer to share 15 per cent of its future casino revenues with the town. At a special meeting on Sept. 10, members voted 6-2 in favour of snubbing the offer from Ajax and declaring Whitby a willing host for a gaming facility to be regulated by the Province of Ontario.
