Toronto, ON – Erik Jensen of Uxbridge can realize his dreams after winning a $1 million MAXMILLIONS prize in the December 3, 2024 LOTTO MAX draw.

Erik, a production manager, has been playing the lottery with OLG for 20 years. He enjoys games like LOTTO MAX, LOTTO 6/49, ONTARIO 49, and DAILY GRAND. The father of three uses a combination of Quick Picks and his own numbers, which hold special meaning. Erik is now thrilled to share the news of his first big win!

“The numbers I selected for this ticket are the same ones my late father used to play. He asked that I continue to play his numbers, and that’s what I did,” Erik shared, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his windfall. “I discovered my win when I received an email from OLG. At first, I didn’t believe it. I showed the email to my daughter, and as reality began to sink in, we were stunned!”

“I’ve kept the news of my win quiet, only telling a few close family members and friends. Until the cheque is in my hands, I’m still struggling to believe it’s true,” Erik laughed. “The timing of this win is perfect; it relieves a lot of stress. There’s a little less weight on my shoulders today,” he concluded with a big smile.

For the time being, Erik plans to save his winnings.

LOTTO MAX players in Ontario have won over $8.9 billion since 2009, including 111 jackpot wins and 937 MAXMILLIONS prizes, right across the province. LOTTO MAX is $5 per play and draws take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.
