Toronto, ON – The LOTTO MAX odds have shone in favour of David Remus of Trenton! He won a MAXMILLIONS prize worth $1 million in the April 19, 2024 LOTTO MAX draw.

David, who works as a security guard, has been playing the lottery with OLG for nearly three decades. He generally plays LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49 and uses OLG’s Quick Pick feature to choose his lottery numbers.

“I was checking some tickets I had purchased over the past couple of months. When I scanned one of the last few tickets, I thought I had won $100,000,” David recalled, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “Turns out, it was actually $1 million!”

The married father of two shared the good news with his family but was met with disbelief. “First, I told my wife, but she didn’t believe me. Then I told my sons, and they didn’t believe me either,” said David.

With his winnings, David plans to complete some home renovations and add to his savings.

LOTTO MAX players in Ontario have won over $8 billion since 2009, including 106 jackpot wins and 879 MAXMILLIONS prizes, right across the province. LOTTO MAX is $5 per play and draws take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The winning ticket was purchased at Front Street Variety on Front Street in Trenton.
