Toronto, ON – The LOTTO MAX odds have shone in favour of Touran Ahadi of Thornhill! She won a MAXMILLIONS prize worth $1 million in the August 13, 2024 LOTTO MAX draw.

Touran, 66, is fairly new to playing the lottery. Her winning LOTTO MAX ticket was only the third she had ever purchased! “I was out of town when I found out I had won. It was my daughter who checked my ticket on the OLG app,” said Touran, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her windfall. “She texted my son to confirm what she was seeing and then called me to share the news. My heart was racing, and I immediately started to think about what this meant for us. Let’s just say it was an exciting flight back home!” Touran smiled.

“I’m just so happy! I can’t describe this feeling. It is just pure happiness,” she concluded.

Touran plans to share her winnings with her children, treat herself, and invest.

LOTTO MAX players in Ontario have won over $8 billion since 2009, including 106 jackpot wins and 905 MAXMILLIONS prizes, right across the province. LOTTO MAX is $5 per play and draws take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The winning ticket was purchased at Cornerstone Market on Provost Drive in North York.
