Board of Directors & Executive Management Team

Classified as an Operational Enterprise, OLG has a single shareholder, the Government of Ontario, and reports through its Board of Directors to the Minister of Finance. Members of the Board of Directors and its Chair are appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council. Neither the Chair nor members of the Board are full-time, nor are they members of OLG Management.

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation Act, 1999

OLG is a Crown agency established under the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation Act, 1999. Under the Act, OLG’s purpose is to enhance Ontario’s economic development; generate revenues for the province; promote Responsible Gambling with respect to lottery schemes; and ensure the public good and the best interests of the province.

Gaming Control Act, 1992

The Gaming Control Act was passed in 1992 to regulate the growth of the gaming industry in Ontario and is enforced by the Alcohol and Gaming Control Commission of Ontario.
