Toronto, ON – Matthew Boyko of Oshawa can “find his possible” after winning a LOTTO 6/49 prize worth $1 million in the Gold Ball Draw on November 2, 2024.

Matthew, who works as a caretaker, has been exclusively playing LOTTO 6/49 with OLG for more than 30 years. He uses OLG’s Quick Pick feature to make his selections and is now celebrating his first big win—along with the thrill of becoming a millionaire!

“I was at work, and during my break, I decided to check the winning numbers on the computer. When I saw that my selections matched the Gold Ball Draw number, I nearly fell off my chair,” Matthew recalled, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “It took me a few minutes to process all the zeros!”

Getting back to work proved difficult for Matthew. “I had to continue working, but I couldn’t focus. Don’t tell my boss, but I didn’t know what I was doing,” he chuckled. “All I could think about was my prize.”

“I shared the good news with a few people, and they were very happy for me. After today, I’ll be telling everyone I know,” Matthew smiled. “Winning feels great! It’s hard to explain the sensation. I feel sick to my stomach, but in the best way possible,” he laughed. “I have a gut feeling I’ll be back here again.”

With his windfall, Matthew plans to purchase a house.
