NIAGARA FALLS RESIDENT WINS $300,000 PRIZE WITH INSTANT PLINKO
Toronto, ON – Lorna Wilson of Niagara Falls is celebrating after winning a $300,000 prize with INSTANT PLINKO (Game #3400)!
Lorna, who works in retail, has been a regular lottery player with OLG for the past four years. She typically picks up her tickets twice a week, with her favourite games being LOTTO MAX, LOTTO 6/49, and PLINKO. “I love the interactive element of PLINKO when I win an in-store Chip Drop,” she said. Now, the mother and grandmother is thrilled to share the news of her first big win, courtesy of the classic INSTANT game!
“I had a PLINKO ticket that I had won a CHIP prize on, so I decided to check it at the store after my shift,” Lorna recalled. “As I watched the animated PLINKO game on the lottery terminal screen, I was hoping to win $20. When the Chip landed in the centre of the board, I thought, ‘No way!’ The most I’d ever won before this was $20.”
Eager to reveal the incredible news, she texted her family, saying, ‘I just won the lottery!’ “I was so excited, I couldn’t hold it in,” she chuckled. “My son responded, ‘Is this for real?’”
On the day of her live PLINKO Event, Lorna approached the brightly coloured board with calm confidence. “The board is just what I expected,” she said. “I’ve watched a few PLINKO videos online, so I have an idea of where I want to place the Chip. I feel very good!”
After a brief countdown, Lorna dropped her Chip and waited in anticipation as the crowd cheered her on. The Chip bounced through the pegs on the board, finally landing on a prize of $300,000.
“I was surprised to hear them announce that I had won $300,000,” she said, beaming. “It’s nice to move away from the disbelief and into this feeling of calm. I was so happy with $10 or $20 wins on PLINKO. I never expected to win a prize like this! I feel so thankful.”
Lorna plans to purchase a new home and fill it with warm memories. “I want to enjoy making meals for my family in my new kitchen,” she shared. “This win will definitely impact my quality of life.”
Reflecting on her winning experience and the journey that led her there, Lorna couldn’t help but smile. “I always joked that I needed a winning ticket because I wanted to call into work rich,” she laughed. “I remember my dad would always say, ‘You can’t win if you don’t play,’ so I played…and I won!”

There are three fun ways to win with INSTANT PLINKO:
- SCRATCH – Scratch the five (5) LUCKY NUMBERS and twenty-four (24) YOUR NUMBERS entirely. Match any one of the LUCKY NUMBERS to one of YOUR NUMBERS, win the corresponding prize from $5 to $100,000 or a CHIP prize.
- WATCH – If the prize won is CHIP, visit any OLG retail location to validate your ticket. Upon validation of a CHIP winner, watch the animated PLINKO chip drop on the lottery terminal screen to reveal your prize from $10 to $10,000 or a PLINKO top prize.
- DROP – If the prize displayed is PLINKO, you qualify for a PLINKO Event at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to win a guaranteed prize of $100,000 to $500,000.
