TORONTO, ON – Life is a little more “grand” for Mahmoud Mohajer of Nepean. He matched all five main numbers to win a second prize of $25,000 a year for life with DAILY GRAND in the May 30, 2024 draw. Mahmoud split the prize amount with another winning ticket and opted for the lump sum payment of $250,000.

Mahmoud has been playing the lottery with OLG for nearly 30 years. He enjoys playing DAILY GRAND and always says “yes” to ENCORE.

“When validating my ticket, the store clerk told me I would have to wait,” recalled Mahmoud, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his windfall. “I realized I had won a significant amount but didn’t know how much. I pulled out my phone to check and suddenly, got very nervous.”

“I was both excited and shocked, at the same time. The store clerk was too,” smiled Mahmoud. “It feels great and gives me comfort. I will definitely be treating myself,” he concluded.

Mahmoud plans save some of his winnings and travel.

DAILY GRAND is a national lottery game with a top prize of $1,000 a day for life for matching the five main numbers plus the Grand Number. The second prize is $25,000 a year for life for matching the five main numbers. DAILY GRAND is $3 per play and draws take place on Mondays and Thursdays.

The winning ticket was purchased at Metro on Carling Avenue in Ottawa.
