MARKHAM RESIDENT’S DREAMS ARE NOW DREAMIER WITH $1.2 MILLION LOTTO MAX WIN
Toronto, ON – June-Kai Ricky Shek (Ricky) of Markham has $1,211,800.80 to put toward his dreams after winning a LOTTO MAX second prize in the December 23, 2025 draw.
Ricky, a 35-year-old who works in finance, said he’s been playing LOTTO MAX on and off since he turned 18. Now, he’s excited to share the news of his first major win.
“I was at the gas station when the store clerk asked me if I wanted to purchase a LOTTO MAX ticket. It was different from my regular routine, but I said ‘Sure!’” Ricky recalled while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his windfall.
“The next morning, I had a strong urge to check my ticket,” he shared. “I found out I won using the OLG app and went to show my wife right away. She couldn’t believe it!”
“This win feels great,” Ricky continued. “It will help us and the people around us.”
He plans to invest his winnings and secure his future. “Maybe we’ll take a vacation with the family,” he concluded.
