TORONTO, ON – Hozefa Bagwala of Markham is $5 million richer after winning a top prize with INSTANT EXTREME (Game #2209).

Hozefa, who works as a production manager, has been playing the lottery with OLG for the past three years. Now, he’s delighted to share the story of his first big win and the thrill of becoming a multimillionaire.

“I stopped to get gas and checked my ticket inside the store, not expecting to win anything big,” the 40-year-old recalled while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his windfall. “The moment I saw the prize amount, my hands started shaking and my body completely froze. I kept checking the ticket over and over again. There were so many zeros that my mind couldn’t process it!”

Hozefa said he drove home with his heart racing. “When I got home, I told my wife by silently handing her the ticket and the winning slip. She didn’t believe me at all and thought I was joking. Once she realized it was real, her eyes widened and her face lit up. It was a beautiful moment we shared.”

With his winnings, the father of two plans to pay some bills, invest for his children’s future, and buy his wife a new car. “My wife is my rock, and I want to thank her for everything she does. Next year, I’d like to take a family vacation to Switzerland.”

Reflecting on the feeling of winning big, Hozefa said, “I’m filled with pure joy and overwhelming gratitude. Holding the winning ticket in my hand felt surreal, and it was beyond anything I ever imagined experiencing. There’s so much excitement in knowing there are endless possibilities ahead.”
