Toronto, ON – Mackenzie Byvelds of Little Britain is celebrating after winning a $250,000 top prize with INSTANT CROSSWORD DELUXE (Game #3354).

Mackenzie, a post-secondary student, is fairly new to playing the lottery with OLG. An occasional player, the 21-year-old has been picking up INSTANT CROSSWORD tickets since she was 19. However, nothing could have prepared her for the thrill of her first big win–a holiday present that will be hard to top!

“One of our family traditions is gifting each other lottery tickets. On Christmas day, my family and I played our tickets together, and I thought I’d won $50 on mine,” Mackenzie recounted, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “I was so happy to have won that, but soon I realized I’d actually won the $250,000 top prize!”

“I was beyond excited, as were my parents,” Mackenzie smiled. “Winning is a crazy feeling. This prize will go a long way. I look forward to buying a car, paying my student loans, and investing for my future. I think this will go down as the best Christmas gift I ever receive in my entire life,” she concluded with a laugh.

INSTANT CROSSWORD DELUXE is available for $10 a play and the top prize is $250,000. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.46.

The winning ticket was purchased at Valentia General Store on Elm Tree Road in Little Britain.
