TORONTO, ON – Saying “yes” to ENCORE paid off for Han Zeng Chen of Holland Landing. He matched all seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the November 22, 2025 LOTTO 6/49 draw to win $1 million!

Han, an assembly line worker, said he’s been playing the lottery with OLG for over 30 years, and this is his first big win! “I always play a set of numbers based on my family’s birthdays,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his winnings.

The 47-year-old was at home sipping his coffee when he decided to check his tickets and discovered his big win. “I realized the winning numbers looked familiar. I checked my ticket three times because I didn’t believe it. It felt too good to be true!”

Han shared the news with his wife and their two children, and they were in disbelief. “My wife kept asking, ‘Are you sure?’ The kids were just staring at me — they thought I was joking! Once it sank in, they were so happy. They were smiling, laughing, and even tearing up a bit. I didn’t want anyone else knowing until I knew for sure it was real.”

With his windfall, Han plans to pay off some bills and treat himself to a nice new winter coat and shoes. “Nothing too crazy. I want to buy some gifts for my family too. I’d also love to travel to China to visit family. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen them, and now I finally have a chance.”

When asked to describe what it feels like to win the lottery, Han said, “I can’t even put into words what this means to me. It’s overwhelming in the best way possible. It’s like getting the best news of your life and not knowing whether to laugh, cry, or sit down before you fall over! This is such a great surprise, and I’m so thankful.”
