Toronto, ON – Lori Margerison of Hamilton is celebrating after winning a $250,000 top prize with INSTANT CROSSWORD DELUXE (Game #3356).

Lori, who works as a housekeeper in a hospital, has been playing the lottery with OLG for about 30 years. She especially likes playing INSTANT games, with her favourites being CROSSWORD and BINGO.

Lori discovered her big win at the end of September while checking her ticket on the OLG app. “Initially, I thought something was wrong with the app,” she recalled while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect her winnings. “I brought my ticket to the store for validation and the machine shut down. It was surreal!”

The 60-year-old immediately called her daughter to share the news. “I still didn’t know what was happening!” she said. “I’m a very proud mother, and to be able to help my daughter is so exciting.”

“This win has changed my whole life,” Lori continued. “It will provide me with a newfound freedom. I’m going to take my brother on a trip to Banff, and I’m excited to go see Rush next year!”
