GROUP OF EIGHT FROM SOUTHEASTERN ONTARIO CAN DREAM TO THE MAX WITH A $500,000 LOTTO MAX MAXMILLIONS WIN
Toronto, ON – A group of eight from Southeastern Ontario can realize their dreams after winning a $500,000 MAXMILLIONS prize in the August 9, 2024 LOTTO MAX draw.
The group members are:
Michael Wolfgram of Elginburg
Aaron Amey of Napanee
Bradley Greenaway of Bath
Donley Kellar of Harrowsmith
Francis McMullen of Verona
Randy Rees of Gananoque
Robert Langille of Kingston
Scott Anglin of Seeley’s Bay
Michael and his seven group members have been playing the lottery together for eight years. They play LOTTO MAX every Friday and choose their own numbers. Now, they are thrilled to be celebrating their first big win!
“I checked our ticket at the corner store on a Saturday morning, and I was caught off guard when I realized we had won,” Michael recalled, while the group visited the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up their windfall. “I instantly called my wife, and she didn’t believe me,” he laughed. I then began calling our group members one by one.”
“It was hard to believe,” said Donley. “My wife took out the calculator to see how much each of our shares would be,” Scott chuckled. “It’s just amazing!” Both Frank and Michael agreed that winning is “a great feeling.”
With their winnings, the group members plan to pay bills, renovate their homes, and take well-deserved vacations. One plans to invest his share, while another looks forward to purchasing a new vehicle.
LOTTO MAX players in Ontario have won over $8 billion since 2009, including 106 jackpot wins and 905 MAXMILLIONS prizes, right across the province. LOTTO MAX is $5 per play and draws take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The winning ticket was purchased at Canadian Tire Gas+ on Princess Street in Kingston.
