TORONTO, ON – George Sharpe of Brampton is celebrating after winning a $2 million top prize in the ONTARIO 49 draw on September 28, 2024.

George, a retired HVAC salesperson, has been playing the lottery with OLG for about 20 years. He said that in 2018, he won a $10,000 prize with DAILY KENO. Now, he’s thrilled to be celebrating his biggest win yet!

“It was a regular Saturday when I decided to go to the store and pick up some lottery tickets,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his windfall. “A couple of days later, I went out to check my tickets and discovered my big win.”

The married father of one says he will take some time to consider how to spend his winnings. “I want to help my daughter purchase her first home, and maybe take a vacation,” he concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Park’s Convenience on McMurchy Avenue North in Brampton.
