TORONTO, ON – Gabriella Pasquantonio of Brampton won “Ontario’s jackpot” – $250,000 in the November 16, 2024 LOTTARIO draw.

Gabriella, a retiree, has been playing LOTTARIO every Saturday since she was old enough to play. She sometimes uses OLG’s Quick Pick feature to make her selections, and other times opts for numbers of her choosing. Gabriella appreciates that each LOTTARIO play is only $1, saying, “You get the most bang for your buck!” She is delighted to share the news of her first big win!

“I was at home when I used the OLG app to check my ticket. At first, I wasn’t sure if I had won $250 or $2,500. When I realized it was neither and that I’d won $250,000, I was confused, in shock, and in disbelief all at once,” Gabriella recalled, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “I was speechless!”

At a loss for words, Gabriella called her husband to share the good news. “When he saw me, he asked, ‘What’s wrong? Your eyes are all red and teary!’ When I told him I’d won the jackpot, he was shocked and couldn’t believe it either,” said Gabriella.

“The timing of this win is perfect. It’s a great addition to the savings account,” Gabriella smiled.

With her windfall, Gabriella plans to pay some bills, purchase a new car, and save for her retirement.

LOTTARIO launched in 1978 as Ontario’s first terminal lotto game. Tickets are $1 and the draws take place every Saturday. Tickets purchased before 11:59 p.m. on Fridays are eligible for the Early Bird draw. Visit the LOTTARIO page on OLG.ca for more information.

The winning ticket was purchased at Extra’s Convenience on Vodden Street East in Brampton.
