Toronto, ON – Jeffrey Howland of Barrie can “find his possible” after winning a LOTTO 6/49 prize worth $1 million in the Gold Ball Draw on April 30, 2025.

Jeffrey, a construction worker, is a longtime lottery player with OLG. He enjoys playing LOTTO 6/49 and LOTTO MAX, always adding ENCORE to his tickets and using OLG’s Quick Pick feature to make his selections. A weekly player, Jeffrey is now thrilled to be celebrating a big win.

“I noticed the LOTTO 6/49 jackpot was high, so I decided to pick up a ticket,” he recalled, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his winnings. “In the morning, before heading to work, I scanned my ticket using the OLG app on my phone and couldn’t believe my eyes. I was stunned!”

Eager to share the remarkable news, Jeffrey woke up his partner, who was asleep at the time. “At first, we thought I’d won $100,000 and were very happy. Later, we realized it was actually $1 million! We were so shocked and excited. It was surreal!”

Jeffrey then told his daughter about his astonishing win. “She was surprised and couldn’t believe it either,” he said with a smile.

With his windfall, he plans to buy a house and save for his retirement.

“Becoming a lottery winner has been an amazing and unbelievable experience,” he concluded.
