Toronto, ON – Sivakangar (Siv) Shanmuganathan of Ajax can realize his dreams after winning a $1 million MAXMILLIONS prize in the December 23, 2025 LOTTO MAX draw.

Siv, an automotive technician, has been a loyal lottery player with OLG for over 15 years. Now, he’s delighted to share the news of his first major win.

“I checked my ticket at the gas station and the screen said, ‘Big Winner,’” the 51-year-old recalled while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his cheque. “I was so happy!”

To celebrate his big win, Siv treated all his coworkers to lunch. “I haven’t told them about the win yet — just my manager.”

With his windfall, he plans to pay some bills and save for the future. “I’ll keep my job. I’ve been there for over 20 years and I love it,” he said with a smile. Siv also hopes to help people in need, and his wife would like to open her own daycare.
