NEPEAN RESIDENT CAN DREAM TO THE MAX WITH A $500,000 LOTTO MAX MAXMILLIONS WIN
Toronto, ON – Kyle Stimpson of Nepean can realize his dreams after winning a $500,000 MAXMILLIONS prize in the December 23, 2025 LOTTO MAX draw. His ticket was one of two that split a $1 million MAXMILLIONS prize.
Kyle, 28, has been an occasional lottery player with OLG since he was old enough to purchase a ticket. Now, he’s excited to share the story of his first major win.
One day, Kyle stopped at a gas station to fuel up, noticed the LOTTO MAX jackpot was $80 million, and decided to pick up a ticket. “I was at a family party and everyone was talking about the jackpot, so it was fresh on my mind. I bought the ticket with about an hour to spare before sales closed for the draw,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his windfall.
Kyle, who works in the high-end automotive industry, said he left the ticket on the fridge for a few days as he celebrated the holidays. “I was doing some chores around the house when I noticed the ticket and thought to check it on the OLG app. I saw the ‘Big Winner’ message on the screen and thought it was a glitch! Then I scanned it again, took a screenshot, and sent it to my girlfriend. I couldn’t believe it!”
“This win comes at a perfect time for my partner and me. Over the holidays, we got engaged and announced that we’re expecting our first child — and then I won this prize,” Kyle said, beaming.
“I never imagined winning something like this. I’m so happy and thankful. This is going to be a magical year for my growing family and me,” he concluded.
LOTTO MAX players in Ontario have won over $9.7 billion since 2009, including 120 jackpot wins and 997 MAXMILLIONS prizes, right across the province. LOTTO MAX is $5 per play and draws take place on Tuesdays and Fridays. Click here for more information about LOTTO MAX.
The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Greenbank Road in Nepean.
