Toronto, ON – Steven Zomers of Eganville can “find his possible” after winning a LOTTO 6/49 prize worth $1 million in the Gold Ball Draw on December 13, 2025.

Steven, who is self-employed, said he’s been playing the lottery on and off for the past 10 years. Now, he’s delighted to share the story of his first big win.

“I was at the store when I found out I won. Before going inside, I decided to check my ticket on the OLG app,” he recounted while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his winnings. “At first, I thought I won $1,000 and was really happy and excited. I checked it again more carefully and that’s when I realized I won $1 million!”

The 33-year-old father of three said he was stunned and frozen in that moment. “I was in total disbelief and couldn’t process what I was seeing,” he said. “My heart was racing. I instantly called my wife and told her the news, but she didn’t believe me at first. She thought I was joking or had read the ticket wrong. When it started to sink in, she was thrilled.”

Steven broke the news to the rest of his family members and said everyone was shocked and overjoyed. “It’s a pretty exciting feeling overall,” he said, smiling. “No explanation really does it justice. I feel incredibly grateful.”

With his windfall, he plans to pay some bills and take his wife and children to Walt Disney World.
