TORONTO, ON – Saying “yes” to ENCORE paid off for a group of three from the City of Hamilton. They matched all seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the September 27, 2025 LOTTARIO draw to win $1 million!

The group members are:

Boguslaw (Bobby) Gut of Stoney Creek

Bruno Di Giovanni of Stoney Creek

David Iannazzo of Binbrook

The group of three coworkers, who work in manufacturing and logistics, have been playing the lottery together for three years. This time, it was Bobby’s turn to pick up the group’s ticket, and he’s the one who discovered their big win.

When he shared the great news with his group members, Bruno thought Bobby was pulling his leg. David had to double-check the ticket on the OLG app to make sure it was real. “There was a lot of excitement that day,” shared Bobby while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect their windfall.

“It’s very exciting,” David agreed.

“It still hasn’t sunk in yet,” Bruno added.

The winning ticket was purchased at Fortinos on Highway 8 in Stoney Creek.
