TORONTO, ON – Brian Brownlee of Wallaceburg can realize his dreams after winning a $1 million MAXMILLIONS prize in the August 19, 2025 LOTTO MAX draw.

Brian said he discovered his big win while checking his ticket at the store. “I used the ticket checker and then asked the retailer to double-check for me,” he recalled, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim his winnings. “I went home and told my wife, and she thought I had only won $1,000.”

The 80-year-old was stunned to learn he had actually won $1 million.

“I don’t have plans for this prize yet. Maybe we’ll complete some home renovations, and I’ll get some body work done on my truck,” Brian concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg.
