Toronto, ON – Dana Lapalme of Oshawa is celebrating after winning a $250,000 top prize with INSTANT CROSSWORD DELUXE (Game #3354). 

Dana, a retiree, has been playing the lottery with OLG for about seven years. He enjoys a variety of games, including CROSSWORD, BINGO, LOTTO MAX, and POOLS. Now, the father of two is delighted to share the news of his first big win.

“I bought this ticket as part of my regular routine,” he recounted, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim his windfall. “Later that day, I played it, not expecting it to be a winner. When I discovered I’d won big, I was shocked!”

The next day, Dana brought his ticket to the store and scanned it using the ticket checker. “Looking at the prize amount, I was surprised and excited,” he said.

He then shared the incredible news with a friend. “At first, he thought I was kidding. Once he realized I was being serious, he was very happy for me.”

With his winnings, Dana plans to share with his children, save for his retirement, and buy a new vehicle. “Being a winner is a wonderful feeling,” he concluded.

INSTANT CROSSWORD DELUXE is available for $10 a play and the top prize is $250,000. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.46. 

The winning ticket was purchased at U-Save Variety on Mary Street North in Oshawa.
