Roger, a retiree, has been a devoted lottery player with OLG for 40 years. He regularly plays LOTTO 6/49, LOTTARIO, and a variety of INSTANT tickets. “I enjoy INSTANT tickets because they keep me on my toes, and I love the thrill of an immediate win,” he shared.

Roger is no stranger to winning big. In November 2020, the father of one took home a top prize with an INSTANT $250,000 TURBO ticket — purchased at the very same store where he bought his latest winning ticket. Now, less than five years later, he’s back to collect another $250,000 windfall!

“I had just bought three tickets when I glanced over my shoulder and noticed one I’d never seen before — INSTANT CASINO NIGHT,” Roger recalled, during his visit to the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim his winnings. “I turned back to the clerk and asked for one of those as well. That turned out to be the best $10 I’ve ever spent!”

After making his purchase, Roger returned to his car, where his friend was waiting, and drove her to the hospital for an appointment. “As I was waiting in my car outside the hospital, I played my tickets one by one. I decided to save the INSTANT CASINO NIGHT for last.”

While playing his ticket, Roger suddenly uncovered a prize of $250,000. “A sense of warmth spread throughout my body like a hug. For nearly 20 minutes, I stared at the ticket in disbelief,” he said. “I just couldn’t contain my excitement and began to scream.”

Roger called his brother right away to share the remarkable news. “When he answered the phone, my exact words were, ‘I did it again.’ He was confused, asking, ‘What did you do?’ I shouted, ‘I won again!’ and he said, ‘No way!’ We were both so excited.”

“Words can’t even explain how I feel right now,” Roger beamed. “This experience has been truly amazing. I’m still in shock and a bit numb. They say good things happen to good people. I must have done something right to deserve this!”

Roger plans to share a portion of his winnings with his son and siblings. “I’m going to hold on to the rest and have a very comfortable retirement,” he said with a smile. “Never in a million years did I think this would happen to me. Winning once was wild, but twice? Just wow.”
