At OLG, we are proud that our efforts and profits ultimately help support the people and communities of Ontario. In addition to directly funding important initiatives and events, we strive to be an active member of the communities in which we operate. We also support others doing good by distributing revenue to local charitable organizations across Ontario.

We work hard every day with one goal: contribute to a better Ontario.

OLG has been giving 100% of our profits back to the people and communities of Ontario since our very first lottery in 1975 — it’s the reason we exist. 

Thanks to our players, our operations have provided billions of dollars in revenue to drive economic impact across the province, supporting government priorities such as healthcare and education.

Community Sponsorship

OLG has a long history of sponsoring community events and festivals that enrich the lives of Ontarians. This includes our sponsorship of Pride Toronto, Gathering at the Rapids Pow Wow, Francophonie en Fête and the Bon Soo Winter Carnival in our home office community of Sault Ste. Marie — a long-standing tradition that we’ve proudly supported for three decades. OLG also participates in our annual United Way and Federated Health Charities employee fundraisers, helping people in need in communities across Ontario.

Home Court Advantage

In 2025, as part of continued collaboration with the Toronto Raptors, OLG donated a total of $60,000 to three local organizations with deep community roots that are making a positive impact through basketball to help these teams continue to develop their programs:

  • Girls Addicted to Basketball
  • Rez Hoops
  • Cruisers Sports

Raptors fans raised funds by playing the free Home Court Advantage game online, with every play increasing the amount that OLG and MLSE Foundation donated. With 100% of OLG profits going back to Ontario communities including groups like these, more people get to have that home team advantage.
