Toronto, ON – Lindsay Baerg and Dwight Smith of Oshawa can “find their possible” after winning a LOTTO 6/49 prize worth $1 million in the Gold Ball Draw on February 19, 2025.

“I was scanning our tickets on the OLG app and got to the last one–a LOTTO 6/49. When I found out it was a winner, I was shocked and thought I saw a prize amount of $1,000,” Lindsay recalled, as she and Dwight visited the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up their windfall. “I told Dwight we’d won $1,000, but when he checked our ticket on his phone, he discovered we’d actually won $1 million!”

“We first shared the news with Dwight’s dad,” said Lindsay. “At first, he was sure we were joking around, but then he realized we weren’t. We told our friends and our neighbour too. Everyone we told was shocked but excited for us.”

“The experience of winning is hard to explain. It feels surreal,” the couple agreed. “We plan to pay some bills, invest, and take a vacation,” they concluded.
