Toronto, ON – David Gillis of Scarborough won a $1 million top prize with INSTANT MAJESTIC (Game #2205).

David, a father and grandfather, has been playing the lottery with OLG for a decade. He enjoys a variety of INSTANT games, as well as LOTTO MAX. David is thrilled to share the news of his first big win!

“I always pick the ticket that’s second from the top of the display,” said David, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “I played this ticket at my table, and when I realized I’d won the top prize, I screamed. I think I blacked out for a second! Standing up, I walked out onto the balcony, took a deep breath, and shouted, ‘No way I just won $1 million!’

“I checked my ticket multiple times to make sure it was real,” David smiled. “The first people I shared the incredible news with were my brother and daughter. They were so excited that they started to scream too,” he laughed.

“Since the day I uncovered my win, I haven’t been able to sleep. I’m just too excited! It feels like fireworks are going off one by one. I sensed this day would come, but I didn’t know when. There are winning tickets out there. You just have to play to find them,” David concluded.

David plans to share his winnings with his brothers and daughter while also investing for the future.

INSTANT MAJESTIC is available for $10 a play and the top prize is $1 million. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.59.

The winning ticket was purchased at Daisy Mart on Lawrence Avenue East in Scarborough.
