Toronto, ON – Deigh Madejski of Guelph can realize her dreams after winning a $1 million MAXMILLIONS prize in the September 17, 2024 LOTTO MAX draw.

Deigh, who works in public service, has been an occasional lottery player with OLG for years. She typically plays LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49, using OLG’s Quick Pick feature to select her numbers. Deigh made sure to pick up a LOTTO MAX ticket after seeing that the jackpot had reached $80 million for the first time. Although she was not the winner of the main draw, she is thrilled to share the news of her MAXMILLIONS win!

“I was at home getting ready for bed when I thought to check my ticket. I started comparing it to the winning numbers on OLG.ca. Then, I double- and triple-checked. So many things ran through my mind. Did I have the right game? Was this the right draw date? Holy cow! Is this really happening?” In an instant, I was a winner,” Deigh recounted, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her windfall.

“I couldn’t sleep at all that night. It was probably the first all-nighter I’ve had in years,” she laughed. “I’ve felt a whole range of emotions since discovering my win. I’m happy, excited, shocked, and full of gratitude. It’s been such a fun experience!”

Deigh will take some time to decide what comes next. “I want to let this win settle in before I make any big decisions,” she concluded.

LOTTO MAX players in Ontario have won over $8 billion since 2009, including 108 jackpot wins and 919 MAXMILLIONS prizes, right across the province. LOTTO MAX is $5 per play and draws take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The winning ticket was purchased at Food Basics on Clair Road West in Guelph.
