Toronto, ON – Shane Gillies of Oshawa is celebrating after winning a TRIPLE MILLIONS prize worth $250,000 in the August 29, 2024 Main Draw.

Shane, a father of one, has been playing the lottery with OLG for about 17 years. After seeing a television advertisement for the limited-time TRIPLE MILLIONS game, he thought he would give it a try. Shane’s decision to pick up a ticket now has him celebrating his first big win!

“It was the day after the main draw on August 29^th, when I checked my ticket using the OLG app. While I didn’t see the prize amount, I saw the screen light up green, indicating it was a winner. I set the ticket aside,” Shane recounted, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “About an hour later, I went to the OLG.ca website and compared my draw number to the winning number in each prize category. That’s when I realized I had won $250,000!”

“I feel as though I manifested this win. My wife and son were surprised when I told them, but for me, it felt just right,” Shane smiled. “There’s a sense of relief that came with this win. For a moment, it felt like all the world’s problems went away. This win will allow me and my wife to become debt-free, and we will be able to put some money aside for our son’s education,” he concluded.

TRIPLE MILLIONS is a limited-time OLG lottery game, that was available for $20 from June 20, 2024 to August 29, 2024. TRIPLE MILLIONS features three $1 million guaranteed Top Prizes, three $50,000 Early Bird prizes, and 402 additional prizes between $1,000 and $250,000.

The winning ticket was purchased at Petro-Canada on Indian Road North in Sarnia.
