Toronto, ON – The LOTTO MAX odds have shone in favour of Angelos Hatzihristos of Trenton! He won a MAXMILLIONS prize worth $1 million in the August 2, 2024 LOTTO MAX draw.

Angelos has been playing the lottery with OLG for years and he enjoys LOTTO MAX. He often plays using his own selections, but occasionally opts for OLG’s Quick Pick feature. Today he is celebrating his first big win!

“After the draw, I returned to the store where I had bought my ticket to use the ticket checker,” Angelos recalled, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “When I saw the prize amount, I couldn’t tell if it was $100,000 or $1,000,000. Once it was confirmed I had won $1 million, I froze! I think the store staff were happier than I was,” Angelos said with a smile.

Angelos plans to share his windfall with family.

“Winning feels very exciting! I am very happy,” he concluded.

LOTTO MAX players in Ontario have won over $8 billion since 2009, including 106 jackpot wins and 905 MAXMILLIONS prizes, right across the province. LOTTO MAX is $5 per play and draws take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The winning ticket was purchased at The Great Canadian Subs & Convenience on Front Street in Quinte West.
