TORONTO, ON – Saying “yes” to ENCORE paid off for Christopher Toman of Whitby. He matched all seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the December 13, 2024 LOTTO MAX draw to win $1 million!

Christopher, a retiree, has been playing LOTTO MAX for the past couple of years. He typically uses OLG’s Quick Pick feature to make his selections and sometimes repurchases the same numbers. Adding ENCORE to a recent LOTTO MAX ticket led Christopher to the OLG Prize Centre to celebrate his first big win!

“I scanned my ticket using the OLG app on my phone and was sure I’d won $1,000. Later that day, I checked it again and realized I’d actually won $1 million!” Christopher recounted, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “I screamed with joy and did a happy dance as I continued to check my ticket over and over again.”

“I’ve shared the good news with close family, but otherwise, no one else knows,” Christopher smiled. “Those I did tell were thrilled and overcome with emotion.”

“This win comes with feelings of excitement and freedom. I look forward to buying gifts for my family and vacationing,” Christopher concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Gateway Newstands on King Street West in Oshawa.
